SERVER/HOST

The Cloud Room is a unique business with a small team which requires that all team members are willing and able to wear many hats and jump into a variety of roles depending on the day. We are expanding our team to include a front-of-house server and host. This right person for this job will understand what guests and members need and meet those needs promptly with a keen sense of customer service. Do you live and breathe hospitality? Reach out!

Summary

The Server is responsible for identifying the needs of members and guests and accommodating to those needs. Serve the guests quickly and efficiently with complete knowledge of the menu and the coworking space. Maintain lounge and deck in a clean and orderly manner throughout the shift.

Core Focus & Responsibilities

  • Warmly greet guests upon arrival.

  • Help guests get seated, and provide water and menus.

  • Take and deliver orders.

  • Get to know Cloud Room members and preferences.

  • Provide a hospitable and friendly environment for members and member guests.

  • Maintain positive guest and member relations at all times.

  • Handle payment for purchases.

  • Upsell items to guests.

  • Properly input guest orders through the POS system.

  • Work with a spirit of teamwork. Communicate needs and ideas to management.

  • Perform sidework as needed.

  • Help us sell coworking memberships or direct leads to the proper team member.

  • Upsell items to guests.

  • Ability to satisfactorily communicate in verbal and written English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.

  • Prioritize and organize work assignments, have timely follow up and execution.

  • Have superb time management skills.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of all coworking membership packages, services and features and hours of operation.

  • Ability to comply with physical demands as outlined below.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the Cloud Room culture and initiatives.

  • Must be able to maintain a flexible work schedule.

  • Attend weekly staff meetings.

  • Minimum 1 year previous experience as a bartender.

  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in a fast-paced bar and/or restaurant.


  • Sit, walk, and stand continuously.

  • Lift / carry 25lbs (frequently) and 50lbs (occasionally)

  • Bend, squat, crawl, and reach above shoulder level.

  • Use dominate hand coordination for simple grasping, pushing/pulling, and fine manipulation.

  • May be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, dampness, height, and moving machinery.

  • Thursday-Saturday 5-11pm
