Seattle is regarded as the most liberal city in America, however it doesn’t appear that way for these two teens growing up in Skyway, a suburb south of Seattle. In this under 20-minute short film, we will focus on the friendship between two teens and the challenges they face from systemic oppression as they start an independent journey through high school. We cover several issues for minorities in low-income environments, such as the problems with public transportation and education. Many “character building” decisions arise for the teens, as they both must decide their own fate while living vastly different lifestyles.
Wolves and Sheep crafts a realistic and relatable visual representation of the living conditions for many people in low-income homes and details the cultural differences between groups of people. In the film, we explore many socioeconomic factors and how they shape the characters' personalities, perspectives, and sometimes, even a pre-destined fate.
