PLAY | Bumbershoot 2025
August 30th – 31st @ Seattle Center
If you’re hitting just one festival this summer, make it Bumbershoot! A full-spectrum celebration of Pacific Northwest creativity, Bumbershoot is where music, art, fashion, food, and full-blown spectacle collide. From punk to pole dancing, ballet to Bumbermania (yes, that’s a WWE-style smackdown), roller skating to performance art, this festival turns Seattle Center into a wildly immersive playground of cultural expression. Bumbershoot champions the bold, the weird, the inclusive, and the unforgettable.
This year’s music lineup spans generations and genres, with Weezer performing their iconic Blue Album in full, Janelle Monáe bringing genre-bending brilliance, and crowd favorites like Bright Eyes, Aurora, Car Seat Headrest, Sylvan Esso, and Digable Planets performing their 1994 classic Blowout Comb. But that’s just the beginning.
Wander through Bumbershoot’s unique Districts to discover something unexpected at every turn—like high-flying tricks on a custom-built halfpipe in the Recess District, iconic Seattle cultural landmarks in the Vanishing Seattle gallery, or tarot readings by local witches in the Witch Temple Dome. Shop vintage and avant-garde looks in the Fashion District, catch a set in the Comedy Dome, or stumble upon the Cat Circus, the Wig Farm, and who knows what else. Every day is a new adventure—and every corner brings the unexpected.
