DANCE | Capitol Hill Block Party 2026
August 7th - 9th @ Capitol Hill
Capitol Hill Block Party returns bigger than ever, expanding to three days of music, art, and neighborhood energy this summer. After moving from July to August and transitioning into a 21+ festival, CHBP is leaning into its late-night, citywide party atmosphere with the freedom to explore multiple stages, grab a drink, and catch some of the biggest names on the lineup, including MUNA, Wet Leg, Disco Lines, and Magdalena Bay.
More than just a music festival, CHBP is a celebration of everything that makes Capitol Hill unique—packed streets, unexpected discoveries, local favorites, and a little bit of chaos. With so much happening across the weekend, this guide breaks down what to see, where to wander, and how to make the most of your Block Party experience. The Cloud Room is proud to partner with Capitol Hill Block Party and offer our members exclusive discounts on tickets, making it even easier to join in on one of Seattle’s biggest summer celebrations.
No ticket? No problem! Head to the Chophouse Row courtyard via the 12th Ave entrance for Vinyl & Vibes: an all-vinyl DJ lineup open to everyone. Hit up your favorite Chophouse Row spot for a bite & a beverage, grab a seat by the fire pit, and let the records do the rest. Catch Friday and Saturday’s set from 5 - 9 pm and Sunday’s set from 1 - 5 pm.
TASTE | A Ferragosto: An Evening of Leisure, Pleasure, & La Dolce Vita
August 15th | 6 - 11 pm @ Hotel Sorrento
There’s something timeless about slowing down, lingering over a meal, and savoring the little moments—and A Ferragosto at Hotel Sorrento is an invitation to do just that. Seattle’s most historic hotel is embracing the beloved Italian midsummer tradition with an evening dedicated to leisure, pleasure, and la dolce vita.
The celebration begins with an authentic four-course Italian dinner paired with wine before moving into the garden for an open-air gathering filled with aperitivi, Italian-inspired bites, live music, and the kind of effortless ambiance that feels straight out of a summer evening in Italy. More than just a dinner, Ferragosto is a chance to gather, indulge, and experience the magic of slowing down in one of Seattle’s most iconic settings.
LEARN | By the Book: Readings Inspired by Lotus L. Kang
August 20th | 6 pm @ Frye Art Museum
What happens when visual art, literature, and creative reflection come together? By the Book: Readings Inspired by Lotus L. Kang explores the unexpected connections between the written word and artistic practice through an evening of readings, conversation, and inspiration. As part of her exhibition I hear the hollow boom of time, artist Lotus L. Kang shares the literary works that shaped her thinking—from science fiction and contemporary literature to explorations of quantum physics—inviting local authors to respond through their own writing.
Featuring readings from Lauren Davis, Stacy D. Flood, Monica West, and Diana Xin, the evening creates a conversation between Kang’s artwork, the books that influenced it, and the stories being written today. Guests can also participate in creative writing prompts inspired by the exhibition, making space to reflect, write, and explore their own connections between art and language.
