WATCH | NWFF Open Seven Days a Week
Northwest Film Forum is officially opening its doors seven days a week, which means even more chances to catch the weird, wonderful, and thoughtfully programmed films that make it one of Seattle’s favorite independent cinemas. The expansion comes at a good moment for NWFF, with attendance climbing significantly in recent years and audiences continuing to show up for everything from experimental films to local festivals and cult favorites.
With a full week of screenings, NWFF will also have more room for community events, partnerships, rentals, and the kinds of offbeat programming that have always made the theater special. Check out NWFF’s lineup and upcoming events to see what’s on the calendar and find something worth getting out of the house for.
CREATE | Artists of Color Expo & Symposium (ACES)
October 9th - 11th @ Washington 1000
ACES returns for three days of art, creativity, and community, bringing together more than 50 local artists of color for a free celebration of Seattle’s creative landscape. The program spans a vibrant art exhibition, live art-making, artist talks, creative workshops, and a market featuring original work and handmade pieces from local artists.
Beyond the gallery, ACES invites visitors to experience live podcast conversations, short film screenings, cultural arts organizations, and The Cypher, where artists create alongside one another in a cross-medium exchange. With plenty to see, learn, and take home, ACES offers a chance to connect with the artists and communities shaping Seattle’s arts scene.
